Beschreibung

The fourth volume of the »Off Campus: Seggau School of Thought« publication series follows the established tradition of offering international academics at all levels of their career a platform for presenting their research and engaging in academic exchange. In this collection, interdisciplinary essays from different backgrounds and contexts reflect on how change is mediated and meditated. Starting from questions such as how resignation and ignorance are negotiated, aggressive and violent disputes are addressed, quick fix, temporary solutions to life’s problems are avoided, or in more general terms how radical resistance is expressed or challenges and difficulties are articulated, the volume provides a mediation and meditation in itself on the scope of issues raised during the Graz International Summer School Seggau 2018. By addressing strategies that can be used to engage in vigorous intellectual investigation, meditating and mediating change offers sets of strategies for vigorous intellectual inquiry into social, cultural, economic, religious, and political enigmas.
